The Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with a range of legal protections that can often be exercised cost effectively at NCAT.
Some of the consumer rights include:-
- Implied guarantees with respect to goods and services;
- Consumer protections with respect to unconscionable conduct, misleading or deceptive conduct, false or misleading representations regarding goods or services, misleading conduct regarding land, unfair contract terms and additionally the protections under the Contracts Review Legislation.
