Home Building Contracts
Residential contracts often involve significant expense, and can easily lead to disputes involving the payment of money or rectification of works. Under the Home Building Act such contracts are regulated in that all contracts needs to meet specific requirements in that they should at the very least be in writing, dated, and signed on behalf of the parties.
Where the home building contract involves the payment of more than $20,000 (as at the time of writing) there may be additional requirements in that they should contain matters such as the statutory warranties etc.
As a litigation law firm we can help with:-
- disputes about the payment of money;
- disputes about building defects arising from breaches of the statutory warranties;
- dispute about whether insurance (Home Warranty Insurance) is engaged.
